Ela Road rail crossing in Lake Zurich closing July 11 for repairs

The Canadian National Railroad has informed the Lake County Division of Transportation that it will be closing the railroad crossing on Ela Road in Lake Zurich beginning Monday, July 11, for scheduled repairs.

The closure will begin at 9 a.m. July 11 and is scheduled to continue until the evening of Friday, July 15.

A detour will take drivers from Route 12 to Route 22 to Route 59 to Cuba Road. Local traffic will be allowed on Ela from Route 12 to the railroad crossing and from Cuba to the railroad crossing. The railroad crossing will be closed to all traffic.
