Wheeling plan commission to review Dundee Road apartment proposal

The Wheeling plan commission will meet Wednesday night to discuss a proposal for a mixed-use residential and commercial development at 300 W. Dundee Road, as well as other business.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at village hall, 2 Community Blvd.

Developers with an outfit called Turk Walker Ventures want to put up a six-story, 335-unit apartment building and 49 townhouses on the roughly 10-acre site. The complex also would have 10,000 square feet of space for retail businesses and other amenities.

The land is mostly undeveloped. The structures there now would be razed.
