Letter: Questionable sources
A recent letter included very impressive statistics about the positive effects of gun ownership. The writer said he started with the FBI website, so being curious, I did too. I could not find anything there relating to the information in the letter.
The letter also referred to a report by the CDC concerning Sandy Hook. I did a search of the CDC website, and all I found concerning Sandy Hook was a report about dealing with stress during traumatic events.
The information in such letters would be much more credible if more specific information about where the statistics came from was included. There is a lot of misinformation on the internet.
