Letter: Responsible gun owners should take action
I keep hearing that there are responsible gun owners and that they are in the majority of gun owners. But where are they? Responsible gun owners would speak up in support of the common-sense gun laws being proposed such as background checks, safe gun storage, and assault weapons ban. People protested seat belt laws. But those laws save countless lives. Protested DUI laws. But they save lives. Protested bans on smoking indoors in public places. But they save lives. So I'm asking responsible gun owners to call your U.S. and state legislator to let them know you support common sense gun laws to save lives.
