Butterfield Road segment in Libertyville to be closed for a week

Butterfield Road in Libertyville will be closed to through traffic from Route 137 to Winchester Road for one week beginning at 6 a.m. Wednesday, June 22.

Metra is closing the road to improve ride quality.

Butterfield is scheduled to reopen the afternoon of Wednesday, June 29. Local traffic will be allowed from Route 137 south to Old Barn Circle and from Winchester Road north to Virginia Avenue/St. William Drive. The railroad crossing will be closed to all traffic.

The detour is Route 137/Peterson Road to Route 45 to Winchester Road.
