Letter: Appreciating a friend

When I was elected Kane County auditor, I met Carol Farmer. Carol and I attended many Republican meetings and fundraisers together. Carol was a friend with whom I could discuss campaign strategy and operation of the auditor office.

During my five election cycles as Kane County auditor, Carol would promote my candidacy with yard signs, phone calls and personal contact with voters. I could not have served the citizens of Kane County as their auditor without the input of Carol Farmer. I will always remember appreciate our friendship. With her passing, I pray that Carol is with her heavenly father.
