Truck veers off I-94 into retention pond

A commercial truck went off the road and into a retention pond Monday night on Interstate 94 near Libertyville, according to the Illinois State Police.

At 8:51 p.m., troopers responded to reports of a crash near mile post 15.

The driver was heading west on I-94 before losing control of the truck, veering off the road into an embankment and plunging into a retention pond.

No injuries were reported.

The crash is still under investigation.
