Two injured in Hawthorn Woods crash

A rear-end crash in Hawthorn Woods Tuesday evening sent two people to the hospital, according to the Countryside Fire Protection District.

Countryside firefighters responded to the 100 block of North Midlothian Road at 5:35 p.m. Authorities said that both vehicles were traveling north when one vehicle rear-ended the other.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries, authorities said.

The crash remains under investigation.
