Letter: Calculated, meaningless 'solutions'

The emerging Republican answer to the Robb Elementary school shooting is to have only one door in and out of the school. If implemented, you can be sure we'll be hearing about kids dying because a fire broke out in the school and they couldn't get the door open. I'd say it was a stupid idea (which it is), but the real word to describe it is calculated. Calculated to distract you from the horror they have wrought. Calculated to satisfy their base of Second Amendment zealots. Republican "solutions" to gun violence do nothing to address the real problem - guns. No problem, as long as the NRA money keeps flowing.
