Kowtowing to the NRA

Congratulations to the pro-life Republicans in the United States Senate for facilitating yet another horrific mass shooting, resulting in the deaths of 19 innocent children, under the false premise of protecting the Second Amendment rights of a crazed lunatic.

Greg Abbott also deserves some credit for tweeting in 2015 that he was "embarrassed" that Texas was No. 2 in gun purchases and told Texans to "pick up the pace."

It's time to stop the insanity which allows an 18-year-old punk to purchase an assault weapon and then murder 21 people. Laws proposed by the House that in no way infringe on the rights of responsible gun owners have been shut down by Senate Republicans who continually kowtow to the NRA. May they sleep well at night with blood on their hands.
