<h3 class="briefHead">Why are you running for this office, whether for re-election or election for the first time? Is there a particular issue that motivates you?</h3>

Lake County deserves better leadership than the current occupant and his hand picked successors.

Lake County needs fresh ideas. It's time for my generation to lead. If elected I will be the first Latino to be elected to the Board to represent our growing Latino community!

<h3 class="briefHead">If you are an incumbent, describe your main contributions. Tell us of any important initiatives you've led. If you are a challenger, what would you bring to the board and what would your priority be?</h3>

As a Navy Corpsman we are trained to triage and set priorities when it comes to the wounded. I will take that mindset to the Board and to Governing. The Navy also teaches leaders to be consensus builders and that's exactly what I'll do as a Board member.

<h3 class="briefHead">Describe your position regarding the balance between county spending and revenues as it exists today, then describe the chief threats you see looming and how the county should deal with them.</h3>

I believe good governance is good finance. Many people are hurting right now due to the financial stresses everyone in the country is feeling. I believe the average citizen in Lake County is starting to be spread too thin and this is the chief threat I believe will have a lasting impact on our budget.

<h3 class="briefHead">How do you rate the county government on transparency and the public's access to records? If it's adequate, explain why. If you think improvements are needed, delineate them.</h3>

I believe access to county meetings and records are adequate however I do believe more can be done on an individual member level to reach out to constituents more. Most people do not know what the county board does or their current members.

<h3 class="briefHead">What, if anything, should be done to improve automation and customer service in county offices? What steps should be taken to make that happen?</h3>

Incorporate new technologies and review on a regular basis should anything else be needed.
