Glenbard North student charged with disorderly conduct over drawings seen as threats
A 15-year-old Glenbard North High School student has been charged with felony disorderly conduct for allegedly drawing threatening images on a school test.
The boy appeared in court Friday morning. A judge ordered him released to the custody of his parents and placed on home detention.
Authorities say that on May 20, a teacher received a test back from the boy with images including a stick figure with a handgun to his head stating, "I love summer school." There also was a stick figure with a rifle outside a building labeled "summer skol," with an arrow saying "happy : (not dead." School officials reported it to Carol Stream police.
The boy's next court date is June 3.
