Rapist faces 10 to 45 years in prison

A Third Lake man has been found guilty on all charges in a 2020 sexual assault, the Lake County state's attorney's office said Thursday.

Andres Levya, 31, faces 10 to 45 years in prison after being convicted of aggravated criminal sexual assault and criminal sexual assault. He will be required to serve at least 85% of his sentence.

Leyva has been held on bail in the Lake County jail since his arrest for the crime, which occurred Sept. 18, 2020.

His next court date is July 12.
