National Association of Letter Carrier's Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Delivers 7,354 Pounds of Food to Township of Schaumburg

The Township of Schaumburg received 7,354 pounds of food from this year's National Association of Letter Carrier's Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. The annual drive asks residents to put out nonperishable food donations by their mailboxes for letter carriers to pick up and bring to the township on the second Saturday in May. Donations included items like, boxed pasta, pasta sauce, rice products, baking items, condiments, cereal, peanut butter, canned fruit, canned meat and more.

The Township Food Pantry would like to extend a thank you to all the residents who donated to help those battling food insecurity. We would like to share our sincere gratitude to the letter carriers who worked extra hard to deliver mail and packages while also collecting donations.

The Schaumburg Township Food Pantry accepts donations Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and also has an online wishlist for easy ordering and delivery at https://amzn.to/2MJXMpk. Call 847-884-0030 or visit schaumburgtownship.org for more information.
