Tree climbing championship in Lake County postponed

The Illinois Arborist Association's tree climbing championship scheduled for Saturday at Shiloh Park, 2300 Bethesda Blvd., in Zion has been postponed.

Organizers made the decision based on predicted thunderstorms Saturday afternoon. The event, which was to feature 30 professionals competing for the title of Best Climber in Illinois, has been rescheduled to a date to be determined in June at the same location.
