P.E.O. Chapter awards scholarship to Glenbard East student

P.E.O. Chapter IR-Lombard recently awarded its annual scholarship to Lea Angelakos, a senior at Glenbard East High School in Lombard.

Lea will be attending the University of California San Diego majoring in economics. Glenbard East High School activities include orchestra, tennis, badminton and mock trial.

The Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) brings to women increased opportunities for higher education.

The P.E.O. International Sisterhood maintains six educational projects in the form of grants, scholarships and loans as well as the stewardship of Cottey College, a liberal arts and sciences college for women located in Nevada, Missouri, which has been owned/supported by P.E.O. since 1927.
