Letter: Misstatements in story

If your aim is to "Fear God, tell the truth and make money," you are falling short on the second part. Mary Claire Jalonick in her May 12 piece titled "Blocked bill would make Roe v. Wade law, expand it" not only has a completely erroneous headline, but states that "Senate Democrats ... were unable to overcome a Republican filibuster."

Two blatant outright falsehoods.

The bill failed on a straight 49-51 vote with no filibuster involved. It is biased reporting such as this that causes our country so much harm. What happened to the days of simply reporting the facts? If you are going to tell the truth, don't print false information without a disclaimer.
