Victim of Waukegan crash identified as N. Chicago man

A motorcyclist who died after a collision with an ambulance Monday afternoon in Waukegan has been identified as a North Chicago resident.

Donald Stallworth III, 23, died from injuries sustained in the crash at Lake and South Genesee streets, according to a news release from the city.

At 2:50 p.m. Monday, a Waukegan ambulance was transporting a patient from the 200 block of Martin Luther King Jr Dr. to Vista Medical Center East when it hit Stallworth, authorities said.

Stallworth was taken by another ambulance to Vista Medical Center, where he died.

Authorities said that both ambulance crew members involved in the crash had multiple years of experience.

The crash is still under investigation.
