Letter: Compassion, dedication mark sheriff candidate

Robb Tadelman is the best candidate for sheriff of McHenry County and here is why: His genuine compassion for others and his devotion for his job and for the safety of this community are what will always set him apart.

After moving our family up to McHenry County from DuĀPage County, we were looking for a safe and friendly community with other like-minded individuals in all aspects of our lives. We wanted to give our children the best life possible, with as little stress and fear as possible and more opportunities that where not provided to us growing up.

When meeting Robb for the first time, it was clear that he has something that cannot be taught, no matter how many years of experience. He has genuine compassion for all humanity. His smile shows his love for the people around him and he does not hide the fact that his kindheartedness for others is never in short supply.

That quality seems to be fading in parts of society, so when Robb welcomed us to the community with a big smile and open arms, he made us feel like family. He was not campaigning for our vote, he was being himself, a good neighbor and a great person which will make an amazing sheriff.

Robb's passion for his job does not stop at a smiling face or warm embrace. He goes above and beyond to lead as an example for the next generation. I have heard him speak to families; he has never been anything less than authentic.

Robb and his family were the exact company we were hoping to meet. We are so grateful for this new friendship and we know that Robb is the perfect role model for the younger generation, the person you want protecting your county and the man you want in your corner.
