Letter: Our grandkids' climate

It's difficult to know for certain the point of Bill Hartman's letter to the editor published on May 8 titled "Much ado about climate change." He spouts a number of statistics, some of which seem questionable, to apparently say that, as far as climate change is concerned, the world is doomed and it's useless to do anything about it. It sounds to me like a rationalization for continuing a lifestyle of heedless consumption. I wonder if he could look his children and grandchildren in the eye and say that. It's their lives that will be changed.
