Two Naperville men charged with entering home, beating man in front of child
Two Naperville men have been charged with entering a man's home and beating him in front of his 9-year-old daughter.
Ricardo Jimenez-Velazquez, 36, of the 1000 block of Heritage Hill Drive, and Luis Rojas, 30, of the 1100 block of Whispering Hills Drive, are charged with home invasion - causing injury, a felony.
Bail was set Wednesday at $150,000 for each man.
Naperville police say around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, two men entered a home on North Sleight Street and went upstairs to where the victim and his daughter were sleeping.
When the father tried to get them to leave, they punched and kicked him.
The defendants and the father knew each other, Naperville Police Chief Jason Arres said in a news release from the DuPage County state's attorney's office.
Both men would need to post $15,000 to be released from jail. If Rojas posts bail, he must wear GPS monitors and stay away from the victim, his home and his workplace.
Jimenez-Velazquez's next scheduled court date is June 8, and Rojas' is June 15.
