St. Charles Park District hosts native plant sale June 4

St. Charles Park District is hosting its annual Native Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Hickory Knolls Discovery Center, 3795 Campton Hills Road, St. Charles. Choose from a wide selection of native plants to turn your home's landscape into a haven for wildlife.

Plants will be available for purchase onsite and while supplies last. Choose from a wide selection of plants that are native to our region.

Naturalists will be on hand to provide assistance with your plant selections.

Native plants support local wildlife that rely on native plants for food and shelter. They are adapted to the region and, once established, require less maintenance in terms of water and chemicals;

The native plants also attract a wider variety of butterflies, moths, birds and other animals to your yard.

These native plants provide a variety of colorful blooms, fruits, seeds and shapes to give character to any landscape.
