Hey Nonny Plans Celebration for National Wine Day

National Wine Day is May 25 and Hey Nonny is ready to pop the cork. The Arlington Heights music venue will have a special list of half price bottles of wine available for all diners and concert attendees.

That night, Hey Nonny will present the Kristen Rose Kelly Band, which for that night will be the Kristen Rosé Kelly Band. Adults attending the show will receive a free glass of rosé (with purchase of an appetizer). Those under 21 will get a special non-alcoholic pink drink. Tickets for the show range from $12 to $30 and are available at www.HeyNonny.com.

"We're all about having a good time at Hey Nonny," said co-owner Chris Dungan. "So when we saw Kristen Rose Kelly was playing on National Wine Day, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to make a fun event out of it. Fortunately, Kristin was on board with the name change."

The show takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25. Kristin Rose Kelly first picked up the guitar at age 12, and she's been developing her unique sound ever since. Her recent release, a female empowerment rock anthem, "Pantyhose," has been featured on Chicago's "Rock the Fox." In addition to touring the U.S., she has written for many artists, including Eryn Shewell and Al Krouse. She also opened for Dilana and Isaiah Grass and is Emmy-nominated for her work on the Herman the Jester theme song.

Even those not attending the Kristen Rosé Kelly Band show can celebrate National Wine Day in the Hey Nonny bistro. The venue has worked hard to carefully curate a robust wine list that has something for every palate and budget.

"When putting together our wine list, we were really focused on wines that were both inexpensive and high quality," said Dungan. "It's pretty rare to find a restaurant that serves fine wine at the right price, but I think our wine list achieves that."
