Libertyville celebrates park renovation Saturday

The renovation of Charles Brown Park, 1015 Dawes St., Libertyville, will be celebrated with a ribbon cutting and tree planting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 30.

The work included the addition of a new playground, resurfaced basketball courts and pickleball striping.

In honor of Arbor Day, village officials will plant a Kentucky coffee tree to commemorate the occasion, rescheduled from last year due to bad weather.
