Lambs Farm Greenhouse opens for the season April 30

Guests can stock up on flowers for the season and support more than 225 adults with developmental disabilities when they shop at Lambs Farm's Greenhouse.

The greenhouse, located behind the Dogwood Garden & Pet Center, opens Saturday, April 30. Hours are 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

From annuals and perennials to hanging baskets and succulents, the greenhouse will have a variety of plants from which to choose.

Master Gardeners from the University of Illinois Extension will be visiting Lambs Farm Saturday, May 14, and Sunday, May 22, for the annual Potting Party. These special events allow guests to learn from expert gardeners. Guests can bring their containers to the greenhouse to receive guidance as they create a pot for their front porch. Soil prices start at $1, plus the cost of plants.

All proceeds from the greenhouse and Potting Party events help support the programs and services that make a difference in the lives of the men and women of Lambs Farm.
