Wrapping up its 25th anniversary season, the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts at the College of Lake County welcomes two eclectic professional touring events this spring.
As seen on "America's Got Talent" and based at The Chicago Multi-Cultural Dance Center, the ethereal Hiplet Ballerinas features dancers of all shapes, sizes and colors.
This soulful, spirited ensemble combines hip-hop, Latin, African and other urban dance styles with classical ballet.
Their performance will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 24. Tickets are $12-$35.
Grammy Award winner and Emmy-nominated Eileen Ivers is the rare artist whose imaginative virtuosity on the Irish fiddle has altered the musical landscape. In this special Mother's Day show, this pioneer of Celtic and world music shares the stage with her ensemble in an afternoon of storytelling and uplifting music at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 8. Tickets are $15-$40.
Individual and group tickets are available for both events. To order tickets, visit www.jlcenter.clcillinois.edu or call (847) 543-2300. Tickets are also available for purchase in-person. The JLC Box Office hours are noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Masks are optional in public spaces for everyone at CLC and the JLC. The JLC will have masks and hand sanitizer available. CLC has enhanced cleaning procedures in the theater, restroom and common touchpoints.
CLC and the JLC reserve the right to make changes based on health, safety and the ongoing pandemic.
