Letter: Trump must not be reelected
I just read that Donald Trump may be a sitting president again.
Think carefully about this. This is an individual who has stated he wants every executive branch employee to be "fireable" by POTUS. He has been accused of instigating the Jan. 6 insurrection. He turned against his own vice president.
He says that if elected he will pardon the Jan. 6 offenders. He still wants the 2020 election to be overturned. He has been accused of fraud. His administration had connections to white nationalists.
But most scary of all, he calls Putin a genius and has sided with him on more than one occasion. He calls Putin's soldiers on the border of Ukraine "great negotiators." Really?
The list goes on. It is said that Joe Biden is responsible for Ukraine situation. But just maybe if Trump had not withheld approved military aide to Ukraine this situation could have been avoided.
Donald Trump is taking our country down a road of fascism and away from a democracy. The words that come out of his mouth sound like they are coming out of Adolf Hitler's playbook. You need to think long and hard if this is the type of individual you want as our president.
I, for one, want to know why he hasn't been brought up on charges. I don't believe that anyone that has the kind of baggage he does should ever be allowed to run for office again, especially the highest office of the land.
Our philosophy in selecting legislators should be "country first" and "personal gain" at the end of the list.
