State police to conduct roadside safety check Saturday in Aurora

The Illinois State Police will conduct a roadside safety check on I-88 at the Route 31 toll plaza in Aurora late Saturday night into early Sunday.

Officers working the detail will be watching for drivers who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, transporting open alcoholic beverages or driving under the influence.

The project is funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
