Glen Ellyn church to host guided Easter Story walk and an egg hunt April 16
On Saturday, April 16, Southminster Presbyterian Church in Glen Ellyn welcomes the community to stop by any time between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. for a free, outdoor, socially distanced Easter Story Celebration and Egg Hunt. It will be held rain or shine at the church, 680 South Park Blvd. No reservations are needed for this free event.
The Easter Celebration begins with a guided, walk-through Easter story.
Children will receive a bag of take-home crafts. Weather permitting, children (up to 5th grade) will hunt for Easter eggs. In case of rain, drive up to the main entrance to receive Easter eggs and crafts for each child in your vehicle.
Groups arriving together are asked to stay with their group at all times, socially distanced from other groups. Properly worn masks are required for everyone age 2 or older.
Join the church for Easter Week worship. On Palm/Passion Sunday April 10, there will be 9:30 a.m. worship in person and online, followed by in-person fellowship in the narthex.
The Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services will begin at 7:30 p.m.
On Sunday, April 17, celebrate Easter at 9:30 a.m. in person and online, followed by fellowship in the narthex.
