St. Catherine of Siena sets Easter worship schedule

St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in West Dundee announces this year's Holy Week and Easter schedules.

Palm Sunday Mass will be held on Saturday, April 9, at 4:30 p.m. and on Sunday, April 10 at 7:30, 9:30 (including livestream), and 11:30 a.m. It also will be held at 9 a.m. at St. Mary, Gilberts.

Holy Thursday, April 14, will begin with morning prayer at 8 a.m. and the Mass of the Lord's Supper with incense at 7 p.m. The Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be held after Mass until midnight.

Morning prayer will be at 8 a.m. Good Friday, April 15, with the Commemoration of the Lord's Passion at 3 p.m., and Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. The Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession) will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. (This is a day of fast and abstinence).

Holy Saturday, April 16, begins with morning prayer at 8 a.m., followed by the Blessing of Easter Food Baskets at 10:30 a.m. The Easter Vigil Mass with incense begins at 7:30 p.m. The Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession) will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. There will be no 3:15 p.m. confession or 4:30 p.m. Mass.

On Easter Sunday, April 17, Mass will be at 7:30 a.m. in church; 9:30 a.m. (including livestream), and 11:30 a.m. with incense. Easter Sunday Mass also will be held at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Gilberts.

St. Catherine of Siena Church is located at 845 W. Main St. in West Dundee. Livestream Mass can be viewed on the church's YouTube channel.

St. Mary Church is located at 10 Matteson Street in Gilberts.
