St. Charles Business Alliance names St. Patrick's Parade award winners
The St. Charles St. Patrick's Parade returned downtown St. Charles on Saturday, March 12, after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the frigid temperature, the parade had thousands of spectators waving their Irish flags along Main Street as they watched more than 70 parade entries.
The St. Charles Business Alliance is happy to announce this year's St. Patrick's Parade winners. They wish to thank everyone who participated, volunteered and attended this year's parade.
The Best of Show winner was Lazarus House, the nonprofit organization in St. Charles which provides safe shelter, food, and a range of support services for men, women and children in need of help, who are connected to Geneva, St. Charles, and western rural Kane County.
The winners in the Business Category are: first place, The Hairy Ant Inc.; second place, Arcada Theatre; and third place, Bill Cho's United Taekwondo Center.
In the Nonprofit Category, the winners are: first place, Tiny N Tall Rescue Inc.; second place, Knights of Columbus; and third place, American Legion Post 342.
The winners in the Children's Category are: first place, Strikers Fox Valley Soccer Club; second place, Chicago Soccer Academy of Fox Valley; and third place: Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois.
The parade is presented by St. Charles Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram. Platinum level sponsors include McNally's Traditional Irish Pub. Gold level sponsors include Premier Living Real Estate. Silver level sponsors include Corcoran Commercial Real Estate. Bronze Level sponsors include Pollyanna Brewing Co., Signarama-West Chicago, Kane County Magazine and Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center.
The mission of the St. Charles Business Alliance is to drive economic growth to make the St. Charles community a destination where people, businesses and tourism thrive. The Alliance produces the St. Charles Fine Art Show, Holiday Homecoming, Jazz Weekend, Scarecrow Festival and the St. Patrick's Parade.
