Letter: A deeper look at Trump era
I read Marie Kafka's letter to fence post, "Problems we did not have under Trump," which I found to have quite a bit of humor. Looks like something right out of Fox News weeknight hosts.
The United States is one of the biggest exporters of oil in the world. This oil goes on the open markets and not to the local gas stations. It is the Wall Street speculators who drive up the price. In an interview with one of the speculators, he indicated they have not seen anything like Ukraine situation and don't know what to do but raise the price.
Drugs and immigrants have been going on for decades. It's difficult to control. The drug gangs are very well organized and have learned to adjust to different administrations' polices.
With the last four to five weeks of the conflict in Ukraine, stocks and IRAs have tanked to a point. As the conflict has gone on, the people on Wall Street have adjusted and this past week things have looked up. It's not the first, nor the last time this will happen.
Ms. Kafka indicates there was no hint of war with Trump. The powers in Ukraine new what was coming. I believe that had Trump sold military supplies to Ukraine instead of looking for dirt on President Biden and his son Hunter, Ukraine would have been better off than they are now. Never forget Trumps friendship with the "genius and great leader" Putin.
