Letter: Vice president's laugh was wrong, period
Bob Oswald's Sunday column March 20 stated that Vice President Harris' laughter during her news conference in Warsaw on March 10 was "taken out of context" because it was not related to the question asked about Ukrainian refugees but rather about the confusion as to who should answer it first. That analysis ignores "the forest for the trees". It didn't matter what the specific question was, the larger context was the humanitarian disaster unfolding in Ukraine which should have precluded any laughter by her. Inappropriate nervous laughter in response to questions on serious topics is, however, the hallmark of VP Harris.
