Letter: Trump's troubling record on the economy, more

Marie Kafta in her March 19 letter shows just how misinformed many Trump followers are. Putin's Russians are more informed.

First, I lost thousands of dollars in my IRA because of Trump's mishandling of the economy. He sent the unemployment rate soaring. GDP fell. When the economy tanks, there is no inflation, only depression. And with lost jobs, fewer people were on the roads.

Thus, gas prices dropped. And lest we forget, Trump ballooned the federal deficit to record levels. Trump disbanded the CDC's pandemic department just before this pandemic hit and made things worse by doing nothing for three and a half months calling it a "hoax."

That "hoax" has killed a million souls. Because of Trump's ineptness. This is what you get when you elect a failed reality TV star, pathological liar, con man, tax cheat, right-wing demagogue, and wannabe dictator.

He and his family need to get lost.
