Letter: A fix for Long Grove's bridge problem
I am tired of hearing of yet another vehicle hitting the bridge. Why don't the village elders do something concrete to fix the problem? How about erecting some steel I-beams on the bridge side of the community church at a height of 1 inch lower than the actual bridge entrance height? Paint it neon green and yellow. Someone can figure out a design to move the top of the I-beam if an actual truck exceeding the height needs to get through. There's an old saying "You can't fix stupid." But you can make it so stupid doesn't get to the bridge.
