Aurora assisted living facility acheives deficiency-free annual survey

Alden Gardens of Waterford Assisted Living Community in Aurora achieved a deficiency-free survey from the Illinois Department of Public Health.

The state regulatory body ensures the safety and quality of health services provided to patients at assisted living and health care facilities.

Receiving a perfect survey score from the state means Alden Gardens of Waterford had zero deficiencies in care, environment, or services after undergoing a rigorous inspection process. A deficiency-free score is the highest score a skilled nursing or assisted living community can receive - and indicates it's one of the best establishments seniors can select when choosing a provider to handle their care or living needs.

"Achieving a deficiency-free survey is a collaborative effort, and I am so proud of my team. Our number one goal is to ensure residents receive the highest level of care in an optimal environment," said Kim Clark, Executive Director, Alden Gardens of Waterford. "I'm thankful to have wonderful employees who keep resident needs at the forefront, and who are committed to upholding guidance and regulations to provide them with the best experience possible."

Alden Gardens of Waterford, an Assisted Living community that offers health and medical services as needed by the resident, underwent a three-day survey that included extensive interviews with nursing staff and other employees as well as residents and their families, and review of medical records, programs and services and tours of the facility. IDPH surveys are unannounced, which makes the facility's achievement even more impressive.
