The 2022 Community Art Fair runs through March 31 and is in partnership with the Grayslake Community High School District 127, Prairie Crossing Charter School, Grayslake Arts Alliance and Grayslake Library staff.

"The public is encouraged to come in and view close to 1,000 pieces of art by some of the most creative artists in our community," said Jill Alfrejd, communications supervisor at the Grayslake Area Public Library. "It's an opportunity to feel inspired and help with stress reduction. We couldn't do this without the help of the art teachers in the school districts."

Artists include students like Shayna S., a fifth grader at Park Campus in Round Lake, who features her watercolor tree mosaic, and fifth grader Grayson H. from Frederick, who painted a portrait of a bulldog.

"We see ourselves as a connection between the community and the schools," Alfrejd said.
