Aurora Methodists explore 'Last Words of Jesus'

The Rev. Derek Rogers continues his Lenten sermon series on "The Last Words of Jesus" through Palm Sunday, April 10, with Flowing Forth United Methodist Church in Aurora.

On Sunday, March 13, he will preach on "Father, forgive them." Worship is at 10 a.m. Sundays at Aurora Christian School, 2255 Sullivan Road in Aurora.

Communion is celebrated with prepacked elements. Facial masks and social distancing are recommended.

At 8:30 a.m. on Sundays during Lent, a hybrid Christian meditation meeting will be offered online and in the school parking lot. The meditation ends about 9 a.m.

After 11 a.m. worship during Lent, Pastor Rogers leads a Bible study and discussion on the last words of Jesus from the cross.

Participants use the morning's sermon to reflect on the words Jesus shared before his death.
