Pattern of murder must be challenged

Under Stalin, between 3-10 million Ukrainians were murdered during the Holodomor of the mid-1930s. Another 10,000 to 40,000 Ukrainians were murdered by the Russians during their retreat from Ukraine in 1941, including both my grandfathers.

This pattern of murder and oppression continued throughout the ensuing period of the gulags operated by successive Russian dictators. For the world to allow this to continue under Russia's present dictatorship is to be complicit in the ongoing genocide of the Ukrainian people.
