Naperville commission to hear affordable housing proposals

The Naperville Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission will hear affordable housing proposals for seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities at a March 7 meeting in the city council chambers.

Four firms responded to a request for proposals to develop city-owned property near the intersection of 103rd Street and Route 59 into affordable housing. Gorman & Company LLC and Mercy Housing Lakefront were selected to advance to the next stage of the selection process.

The two companies will present their initial concept plans and answer questions at the March 7 meeting, which will be broadcast live on local television and the city's website.
