Arlington Heights organizations to host food drive Saturday

The Rotary Club of Arlington Heights and Arlington Cares are teaming up for their second annual Share The Love food drive Saturday in downtown Arlington Heights.

The organizations will collect nonperishable items from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Jewel parking lot, 122 N Vail Ave.

The most needed items are soups, pasta, rice, canned fruits and vegetables, condiments, paper towels and toilet paper, organizers say.

Donations will benefit local pantries, including the Wheeling Township pantry.
