Park City woman found shot at apartment complex

A Park City woman has died after being found shot at her apartment complex, according to the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force.

Park City police responded at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to the apartment complex on the 700 block of Sharon Avenue. Authorities said officers located the 19-year-old woman shortly after arriving.

Officers attempted life-saving measures until paramedics arrived.

The victim was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where she later was pronounced dead.

An autopsy will be performed by the Lake County coroner's office.
