Lake Zurich board to consider church's expansion plan Tuesday
Lake Zurich village trustees on Tuesday will consider approval of a special use permit allowing Heritage Church, 255 Quentin Road, to move forward with an expansion plan.
According to village documents, the plan includes renovations to the interior and exterior of the building, a new 23,000-square-foot lobby and auditorium, and an expanded parking lot with 41 additional spaces. When finished, the church will be able to hold 1,000 attendees, documents state.
The addition will be located toward the rear of the existing building.
The village's Planning and Zoning Commission voted 3-2 last month in favor of recommending approval, subject to conditions, including additional fencing and landscaping to serve as buffers with neighboring property.
The village board meets virtually at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting will be live streamed on the village website, Facebook live and on local cable channels.
