Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce resuming free webinars
ELGIN - Do you have what it takes to start and run a successful business? Do you know what the startup journey is like? Or what initial steps you need to take?
The Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce is resuming its free webinars sponsored by the Elgin Area Small Business Academy (EASBA) for 2022. The first webinar of the series begins with "Transform Your Dream Into a Real Start Up," presented by Jim Screeden of Score Fox Valley, at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24. Call the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce at (847) 741-5660 to be included in this small business interactive webinar workshop.
The webinar will help prospective budding entrepreneurs to assess potential prospects and give the initial direction needed for inspiration in moving forward to realize the dream of business ownership. The webinar will also cover young businesses, pricing, promotion, competition and marketing providing valuable information needed to instill a competitive edge.
Four additional EASBA webinar workshops will continue starting at 11 a.m. March 9 with "Building Your Workforce" presented by Manpower - Tom Mihelic; April 20 at 1:30 p.m. with "Financial Planning for Your Business" presented by Rauschenberger Financial Advisors - Keith Rauschenberger; May 23 at 11 a.m. with "Tax Planning for Your Business" presented by Livingston Taxes - Dekovia Livingston; and June 23 at 10 a.m. with "Zoning Guidance" presented by the City of Elgin Community Development Department - Marc Mylott.
The EASBA provides entrepreneurs with a knowledge base on small business fundamentals while increasing a network of contacts to help grow a small business.
