Fire leaves home in Naperville uninhabitable
A Naperville resident reported a fire involving their home in the 300 block of Hazelwood Drive Sunday.
Five minutes after the initial 911 call, firefighters arrived on scene and reported heavy fire from the rear of the single-family dwelling, as well as heavy smoke showing from all sides.
Everyone was out of the house when firefighters arrived. The occupants of the home were evaluated for burn injuries and smoke inhalation at the scene. One firefighter suffered a minor injury that did not require medical attention. The home incurred significant damage. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Naperville Fire Investigation Team. The residence was determined to be uninhabitable due to smoke and fire damage.
