Self-driving cars a disaster in waiting
I cringe every time I see an ad on TV with a car full of happy people singing and clapping as the car drives itself down a four-lane highway. I can't believe the automakers are promoting this as safe driving at a time when accidents caused by distracted drivers are at an all-time high.
This autopilot program is just one software glitch away from a disaster that nobody will be singing and clapping about. I'd like to know what the insurance industry thinks about this.
