Aurora food pantry schedules second women-only mobile event

The second monthly Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry Women's Empowerment Mobile Pantry will be held Thursday, Feb. 17.

The women-only distribution will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Mutual Ground domestic violence shelter, 120 Gale St. in Aurora. Registration or identification are not required.

In addition to bags of food, baby supplies and women's hygiene products will be offered.

The nonprofit also is hosting its next Pet Pantry from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Feb. 16, at the pantry, 1110 Jericho Road in Aurora. In an effort to provide families with the supplies they need to not be separated from their pets, the food pantry is distributing pet food, first come, first served.
