Zebra reports record year for sales, profitability

LINCOLNSHIRE - Zebra Technologies Corp. Thursday released financial results for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year ended Dec. 31, including $5.6 billion in net sales, up 27% over net sales of $4.4 billion the prior year.

Gross profit for the year was $2.6 billion, up 31% over $2 billion in gross profit in fiscal year 2020, the company said. Net income for the year was $15.52 per diluted share, up 66%.

"Our team delivered solid fourth quarter results, closing out a record year of sales and profitability. Performance was at the high end of our guidance, despite an exceptionally challenging supply chain environment, including premium freight costs that were higher than our expectations," said Anders Gustafsson, chief executive officer of Zebra Technologies.

Zebra's products and solutions empower the front line of business in retail/e-commerce, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, health care, and other industries, allowing customers to achieve a performance edge.
