The courage of some Democrats

I'm very glad that there are a few Democrats that have the common sense, the wisdom and the courage to break from the pack to stop unnecessary spending and not change the filibuster rules. Some of the bills that have been or are up for vote are filled with unnecessary spending. Just think of all the billions of dollars being wasted on interest payments, because the federal government can't balance the budget.

President Biden claimed he wants to bring the country together, but you can't do that when you basically ignore half of the population, and that is what is happening when you try to get rid of the filibuster rules.

The Democrats seem to forget that they will not always control the Senate. Odds are that after the next election, they will lose both the Senate and the House and two years after that the presidency, if the Democrats continue on this path of reckless spending and their other failures.

They need to work with the Republicans and compromise to solve the challenges that the U.S. faces. Of course, the Republicans can't do anything stupid like denying climate change. I believe the vast number of Americans want both parties to work together and compromise to solve the issues that are facing our country. You can't do that by getting rid of the filibuster.
