Police: Woman who disappeared Jan. 3 in Arlington Heights located

A 35-year-old woman who disappeared from Arlington Heights early last month has been found safe with the assistance of authorities in northern Ohio, police said Tuesday.

Samantha L. Vicicondi, who also goes by Samantha L. Schutt, had last been seen Jan. 3, in the area of Arlington Heights and Algonquin roads on the south side of Arlington Heights, police said in a Jan. 21 alert.

Police said Tuesday she was located with the assistance of the Summit County, Ohio Sheriff's Department. Her disappearance was not the result of any criminal activity, police said.

Police did not disclose the circumstances of how or where Vicicondi was located.
